SunStang will one day be travelling to Australia for the World Solar Challenge. This international competition pits student-driven and professional teams alike in a gruelling 3000 km race across the outback. Departing from the northern tip of the continent, in Darwin, the vehicles use the energy from the glaring Australian sunlight to power all the way to the southern tip of the continent, in Adelaide. The Challenge is divided into four different classes, each judged on efficiency and time, practicality, or environmental impact. |
